EXCLUSIVE: Audio Of Persons Used By EFCC’s Magu & Prophet Omale To Plead For Removal Of “Factual” Reports

Secret recordings of those sent to plead for DENISAURUS News to remove some factual stories about Ibrahim Mustafa Magu, the acting Chairman of the Economics and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have been detailed.

A story where the paper revealed the close relationship between EFCC’s Magu and Emmanuel Omale, was asked to be removed for financial rewards, but the paper refused to do so.

Prophet Omale, who constantly prophesied about Mr Magu’s confirmation (although it never came to pass), was exclusively reported by this paper few weeks ago, as a “conduit pipe” for corrupt proceeds by the anti-graft boss.

The clergyman was exposed in a story published by DENISAURUS News on April 21, 2020, where he purchased properties for EFCC’s Magu, in places like Dubai.

A man sent to plead with the newspaper to remove the story, stated that though Mr Magu is “wicked” and “the heat” was on him, a popular politician who allegedly favours the anti-graft boss is eager to do anything for the story to be removed.

“But you know now, I have a challenge. Do you know my challenge,” he asked? The man, who stated that he was a media man in the same struggle as Adenike Lucas, the Editor- In- Chief of DENISAURUS News, then explained that his call was to request that some (Magu) stories on the website be deleted in exchange for money.

He noted that he had a Godfather whom Mr Magu has cried to, and this meant he had been put in charge with speaking with Miss Lucas, for the assignment of getting those stories removed.

“Miss Lucas has continued with the battle against EFCC’s Magu, but he was now asking me, what do we need to do so that Lucas can suspend all those stories on Magu.”

In a recorded audio tape, he said Miss Lucas should ask for anything.

“Magu is wicked, he does not listen, but right now the heat is on him,” the man can be heard saying in the recording published.

He noted that “the heat” was on Mr Magu because of the exposes by DENISAURUS News and he pleaded that the politician was willing engage the paper over the matter.

“Why is he making such a request,” Miss Lucas retorted back. In turn, the man said: “Magu has reached out to him.”

Another, a journalist, with over “300 published stories,” who verified the stories, also pleaded that it be taken off the page.

“On this pastor Omale, we are actually doing a media engagement for the man concerning his personality… I don’t have fault with the story.”

“I am begging that the story on the EFCC with Omale,” he went on to say should be put down.

“Is it possible to take it down the story?” But, when asked that since you have no fault in the story, why do you want it off, he said: “in media engagement, like media laundering, this kind of story is very damaging to the pastor.”

002 However, DENISAURUS News refused the cash, stating that the mandate of the paper is to fight injustice and it is not a profit making paper, and it does not seek any compensation, and the idea to be rewarded financially for writing the truth should be totally perished.
