👤 EXCLUSIVE: Adenike Lucas and Danjuma Aliyu, DENISAURUS News
The Acting Chairman of the Economics and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Mustafa Magu is set to deal with Prophet Emmanuel Omale, following an exclusive report by DENISAURUS News, which exposed the relationship between the two, where the clergy man has been a front for the anti-graft boss.
The exposé revealed a recent journey to Dubai undertaken by the duo in March 2020, in order to acquire properties for the anti-graft boss. The properties which cost an incredible amount of dollars, meant to be way above EFCC Magu’s pay package, proves he is not the “Mr Integrity” he claims to be.
It also confirms an allegation made against him by the Department of State Services, DSS, who noted that he uses proxies to launder money from the Commission.
They, the secret police in 2016, wrote that he has failed the “integrity test.”
Mr Magu, 58, was also indicted by a retired Deputy Inspector General of Police and former Chairman of the Police Service Commission in another report in 2010.
According to Parry Osayande, DIG rtd, Mr Magu has an attribute “unbecoming of a senior police officer, and can not be trusted with ‘money and power.'”
Sources informed this paper that in order to cajole the populace, Mr Magu plans to deny his relationship with Prophet Omale, and would issue a disclaimer statement soon, alluding that some religious clerics are using his name to collect money.
Mr Magu, who was twice rejected as the substantive chairman of the EFCC, due to the indicting report of the DSS, this paper exclusively learned has stopped picking up the calls of Prophet Omale, who leads Divine Hand of God Prophetic Ministries International, Abuja, so as to distance himself from the cleric.
The anti-graft boss, who was described as a “perennial offender” by the secret police, will even have the prophet arrested soon, informed sources told this newspaper.
“The prophet has told people that Magu does not pick his calls anymore and what I am getting now, is that the prophet has been collecting money from notable personalities.
“I have two names of people who gave the prophet money.
DENISAURUS News learned that among those said to have paid the pastor is Erastus Akingbola, Ex-Intercontinental Bank CEO, who paid the sum of ₦700 million.
“But, what I have not been able to get is whether prophet is giving the money to EFCC’s Magu, and I am even hearing that Magu wants to arrest the prophet,” the informant noted to DENISAURUS News.
According to our source from the church, he said “Prophet Omale, often brags to Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and other Very Important Personalities, that he is very close to EFCC’s Magu due to the spiritual/ marabouts consultations rendered, so much that anything they want from the anti-graft boss, is a done deal through him.”
It is not the first time that the anti-graft boss has had his allies arrested. The EFCC boss, once had marabouts who he sought for spiritual consultation arrested by mobile policemen, after the work asked to perform failed.
Those present at the Trademore Estate, along Airport Road in Abuja confirmed that Mr Magu, himself supervised the arrest of the spiritualists, who could not help him get his name re-presented by President Muhammadu Buhari to the NASS Senate for confirmation.
Close sources to the EFCC boss say he is looking to do the same to the prophet, who he has since stopped picking his calls, after our first publication exposing the relationship between the duo.
There is no sympathy for the prophet from those who spoke to DENISAURUS News about his predicaments.
“How can a prophet be associating with a man whom the DSS described as a perennial offender? Or someone who was said to have failed the integrity test.
“Anyone who associates with EFCC’s Magu is similar to him. You know what they say, ‘birds of a feather flock together.'”
After lamenting, the prophet has been advised to “carry his cross by himself.”
Several calls were made to the prophet and the EFCC boss for comments, but none could be reached as they did not pick their calls or respond to enquiries over their recent “romance.”
