“The Acting Chairman runs the agency based on public rumours, manoeuvres, gossips, political interference from certain quarters and marabouts.”
This confirmed a report by DENISAURUS News, which noted that Mr Magu, 58, was consulting spiritualists on the affairs of the agency.
Friends of the anti-graft boss have said that till date, he is still desperately and shamelessly seeking to be confirmed as the fourth substantive chairman of the EFCC.
Mr Magu was twice rejected by the NASS Senate due to the indicting report by the DSS. He was also not able to defend himself from the allegations, when he appeared at the senate for screening.
He is the only EFCC boss, to have been rejected by lawmakers and the only one to have served in acting position for more than four years – a contradiction to the Public Service Rule.
