OGUN Governor Sets Up Tech Hub Which Will Help To Solve Challenges In The State

The Governor of Ogun, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun – MFR​ has set up a technology hub in the state, in line with his plan to take the state to the next level as promised during the election campaign.

Prince Abiodun, a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, defeated the candidate of the immediate past Governor in the 2019 election, with the vow to better the lot of the people by developing different sectors including ICT.

The business mogul, believes the hub located at Kobape Road, Abeokuta, will “facilitate creative thinking and collaborative problem solving using the smart application of technology.”

With the new idea, which was launched on Thursday, individuals and business owners will be supported by the state with a “multi-functional, multi-purpose space where work to catalyze creative social tech ventures take place.”

They will also get the opportunity to “connect, share, build new skills and competencies to solve local challenges that improve the quality of life of Nigerians.”

Dayo Abiodun, The Special Adviser to the State Governor on ICT, and Adekunte Olatundun, Director, Ogun State Bureau of Information Technology, said: “The Government of Ogun State is partnering with the public-private sector stakeholders to create opportunities, upskill and expand the job space for our teaming young men and women and those who have innovative talents”

“It is a major pillar of our quality governance model. We are going to have an inclusive government that will utilise valuable potentials that abound in the State and that’s why we are involving the private sector.”
