The governorship election which gave Yayaha Bello a second term in office has been upheld by the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal.
Governor Bello, who was first elected in 2015, was declared the winner of the election which took place in November 2019, but the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, challenged the results.

The Court of Appeal has denied the PDP’s prayers to have the verdict changed.
