Ibrahim Mustafa Magu, dubbed a “perennial offender” by the Department of State Services, DSS, has been arrested, having failed several times to account for assets recovered by the commission under his watch.
Mr Magu, 58, who became a liability to the corruption fight, as predicted by the secret police, was apprehended today, five years after Adenike Lucas, the editor of DENISAURUS News revealed that the anti-graft boss was not declaring assets recovered.
In the report, Miss Lucas, showed that a BACAB PLAZA beside KASUPDA HOUSE, Kaduna Central Market, Ahmadu Bello Way, Kaduna State, belonging to Air Commodore Salisu Yushau, who is also involved in the Arms Deal scandal were never declared to the Assets Forfeiture Unit by Mr Magu.
Instead, according to a reliable whistle blower, the asset which was recovered by CSP Ishaku Sharu was returned to Borno born Mr Yushau who became a prosecution witness to the EFCC.
A Kogi-based publisher who published the news written by Miss Lucas, was arrested after the report went viral.
Mr Magu, a Commissioner of Police, whose promotion was exclusively written by DENISAURUS News, weeks before it was published by the Police Service Commission, PSC, is said to have sold off some of the assets he recovered.

Mr Magu, whose illicit relationship with a clergy man, failed at his screening to give an account of monies recovered, also refused to state to a financial minister when queried about loot.
A story where the paper revealed the close relationship between EFCC’s Magu and Emmanuel Omale, was asked to be removed for financial rewards, but the paper refused to do so.

According to our source, Mr Magu, who is currently in the custody, will be questioned about how he has handled recoveries.
DENISAURUS News understands that the EFCC boss was picked up from the commission’s office in Abuja.
Immediately, Mr Magu, who resisted his arrest began calling people frantically at the villa for help.
Staff members at the commission, who Mr Magu has often bullied, are presently jubilitating about the arrest.
