Election 2019: Nigerians Head To The Polls To Elect 29 Governors

Voters from across Nigeria are heading to the polls today to elect Governor and State Assembly members.

Governorship elections which comes a week after the Presidential election that returned President Muhaammadu Buhari into office for a second term will be carried out in three out of the six South West states.

People in Ogun, Oyo and Lagos will be selecting Governors, but those in Ekiti, Osun and Ondo will only vote for State Assembly members as they already conducted different Guber elections, where members of the ruling All Progressives Congress won the day.

Kano, Kaduna, Kebbi, Imo, Delta,  Enugu and twenty other states will also hold Governorship elections today.

At the moment the Kano incumbent Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje will struggle to stay in office, because of allegation of corruption made against him by Jaffar Jaffar, the editor of Daily Nigerian.
