Femi Fani-Kayode, a spokesperson for Goodluck Jonathan, the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2015 elections has joined the ruling All Progressives Congress “in good faith.”

“Our brother and friend, chief Femi Fani Kayode, has joined our party in good faith.” – Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi stated in an announcement to the press.

Mr Fani-Kayode, a lawyer by profession, who was also a spokesperson to Olusegun Obasanjo, a former President and Military head of state, will “add his own positive energy and make contribution into ensuring that APC is a party to beat,” Governor Bello went on to add.

Despite being a a “foundation member. Fani-Kayode had previously derided the APC, calling it the Almajiri’s People’s Congress. DENISAURUS News has not been able to confirm with the former Aviation Minister if his move to the APC is true.

The APC is currently recruiting members and asking old members to revalidate their membership.

Mr Fani-Kayode recently wrote an open letter to one of the national chairmen of the APC, saying it was finished for him.

In the letter he wrote to Bola Ahmed Tinubu this month, the former PDP spokesperson who served as the Minister of Aviation from 7 November 2006 to 29 May 2007, derided the APC leader, who is not even allowed to sit in National Executive Council meetings.

To Asiwaju Tinubu, Mr Fani-Kayode popularly known by the acroynm FFK said: “they refused to give you a formal position in the National Executive. They ensured that some of your key loyalists in the South West turned against you and opposed you.

“They refused to accept even ONE of your Ministerial nominees both in 2015 and 2019. They humiliated your protegee who you nominated as Vice President and turned him into a pliant and pathetic little errand boy with no testicular fortitude or shame.

They drove your nominee at FIRS out of office unceremoniously and have placed him under criminal investigation.”
