The proposed nation-wide workers strike proposed by the Nigerian Labour Congress, against the unjust increase in fuel and electricity tariff, could be stopped if talks with the government is successful.
At the moment, the Speaker of the House of Representative, Femi Gbajabiamilla noted that talks with NLC leaders have been “fruitful.”

In a tweet the lawmaker stated that “We had fruitful discussions and I am hopeful tomorrow’s strike will be averted.”
