Governor Akeredolu is said to have received 216 votes from delegates in Akoko South West, while Mr Oke only scored 17.
In 2016, Mr Oke lost in the party primaries to Governor Akeredolu. Consequently, he left the ruling party to join the Alliance for Democracy, a party that has now been de-listed by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
