The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai went on his kneels to beg the people of Kogi, so that his party’s Governorship candidate in the state can be given a second term in office.Â
The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Yayaha Bello, whose tenure ends this month, has failed to pay workers salaries for up to 39 months.

But, El-Rufai Chairman, Kogi State Governorship Campaign Council of the APC, today asked that he be forgiven and rel-elected for a second term.
“When you are young, you make mistakes. Please, I am kneeling down on my knees to beg you. Please, forgive whatever wrong he has done to you.
“I beg you all. Let us make history. Let us not dishonour the memory of Prince Abubakar Audu by allowing PDP to come back. We must work for the unity and progress of Kogi,” he said.
This plea comes less than 48 hours before the scheduled election in the state.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP fielded a strong candidate, who has promised to reverse the fortunes of the people in the state

During a campaign in Kabba, Kogi on Friday, Musa Wada, who has a big chance of defeating Governor Bello in the November 16 election, vowed to engage in programmes “that will transform the lives of the people,” and not “window dressing development,” like the candidate of the APC has done in the past four years.
