Angry protesters have voiced their opposition to President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2 weeks private visit in London.
The demonstrators, who say the Nigerian president should be back at home providing meaningful leadership, gathered at Abuja House this week.
Chanting “ole, ole (thief)” they demanded that the President returns home immediately, where an Governorship elections is scheduled to hold in two states, Kogi and Bayelsa.
The incumbent Governor of Kogi, an ally of President Buhari was recently allocated N10 Billion from the Senate.
The money which was paid a few hours to the Kogi Governorship election is seen as a waste, especially as many civil servant have not been paid salaries in months.
This is not the first time President Buhari has been in London since he was elected into office.
He spent 103 out 365 days in London in 2017.
