Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Rivers have called on President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene in the current crisis rocking the party in the state.
The problem which is a strong fight for control of the state by two power titans, Rotimi Amaechi and Magnus Abe, has created two factions in the state.
Solomon Deesi Lenu, the President of the Excellence Achievers Movement in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers said the clash between the Minister of Transportation, Mr Amaechi and Senator Abe who represents Rivers South East “has paralyzed Rivers chapter of the APC.
“This crisis is working against the collective interest of Rivers people,” he added.

DENISAURUS News understands that a reconciliation body to mend things was established before the 2019 elections, but, some members are continued to work against one another.
Mr Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation, one of those accused of working against the election of Senator Abe, has refused to work with the lawmaker.
Mr Lenu said the “time has come for President Buhari to look into the crisis that has paralyzed Rivers chapter of the APC. This crisis is working against the collective interest of Rivers people.”
