Dino Melaye, a vocal lawmaker in the upper chamber has retained his seat, despite “suffering” much in the hands of the All Progressives Congress.

Senator Melaye, who defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP last year received 85, 395 votes compared to Smart Adeyemi of the APC who scored 66, 901 votes.

The lawmaker said all the glory belonged to God.

“To God alone be the glory forever and ever. Amen. I have just been declared winner of the Kogi West Senatorial District Election. God only You would have done this. Kogi West I thank you all. I love you all. What a mighty God we serve.”
