A prominent lawmaker in Kano linked with the atrocity that led to the killing of more than two people in Kano, has been arrested, DENISAURUS News can confirm.
The Commissioner of Police in Kano, Muhammed Wakili authorised the arrest of those said to have been involved in the incident in Kano, where three people were killed after a clash between political supporters of the All Progressives Congress and Peoples Democratic Party in the village of Bebeji, Kano on Thursday.

The clash involving members of the Kwankwasiya Amanna Group – those who are followers of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso; a senator from Kano Central, and the Lawmaker from Bebeji, Honourable Abdulmumin Jibrin also resulted in the destruction of several cars and properties.

Sources at the Kano State Police Command who had notified this paper of the arrest earlier today said it was a prominent lawmaker from the Bebeji area.
Mr Wakili in an interview with The BBC has now confirmed the arrest of Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa has been made.
