Abubakar Atiku, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has told those traders ignored by President Muhammadu Buhari that he would care and make them his âpriority.â
Mr Atiku, a former Vice President of Nigeria who won the ticket of the opposition party to challenge President Buhari in the February elections, tried to reassure the business people of his support after a tape of the Minister of Transportation stating the obvious aloofness of the President towards an onisha trader was leaked to the media.

The minister who served as Governor of Rivers State from 2007 â 2015 and is now the Director-General of the Buhari / Osinbajo relection campaign claimed that despite the woes in the land, the 76-year-old Nigerian President who has been told not to seek a second term having failed to improve the economy and security conditions, is not hard of hearing.
âThe president does not listen to anybody. He doesnât care. You can write what you want to write. The president doesnât care. Does he read?
âIn fact, there was one case of somebody in Onitsha, a trader in Onitsha who couldnât sell his goats during Sallah. And I was with Oga on the plane and the man was busy abusing Buhari. He said, âAmaechi, come, what is my business with Onitsha goat seller?â”

Alhaji Atiku who is running with Peter Obi promised to get Nigeria working again so that every Nigerian is able to succeed in it.
In a tweet post, the Presidential candidate who has won the endorsement of the likes of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, promised that struggling business man a better Sallah if voted in.
âTo that Onitsha goat seller who could not sell his goods due to the prevailing bad economy, I say to you that I care. You and all Nigerians are my business. You are my priority. Join me and #LetsGetNigeriaWorkingAgain and I assure you that next Sallah will be better.â
