The Governor of Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode on Sunday approved the appointment of Hakeem Muri-Okunola as the 21st Head of Service, HOS in the state.
Mr Muri-Okunola, 46, served as a Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Youth and Social Development before his latest appointment.
The 46-year-old who replaces Folasade Sidikatu Adesoye following her retirement, is said to be popular in the state.
Governor Ambode, who leaves office next year describe the new HoS as a “role model” whose “youthful energy” would be a positive for the state.
In a statement seen by DENISUARUS News, the outgoing Governor said: “Congratulations to Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, the 21st Head of Service, Lagos State.
“We are confident in the capacity, knowledge, experience and youthful energy of our new Head of Service to lead our State’s Public Service to greater heights and become a role model for other public service institutions in Africa.”
