A counterfeit version of Goodluck Jonathan’s book, My Transition Hours is being circulating online by “mischievous persons.”
The former President who launched the authentic version of the book at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja on November 20, says the fake copy has 294 pages instead of 194.
The book which gave a detailed account of his time as President and some of the decision Dr Jonathan took leading to the 2015 elections, has been mostly shared by individuals on Whats App Groups, DENISAURUS News understands.
Taking to his verified tweeter handle, Dr Jonathan wrote that an e-copy book was being circulated by “mischievous persons who have a wicked agenda.
“If you buy a copy of my book, you will note that it has only 194 pages, whereas this strange book has 254 pages. I am shocked at the extent people go to cause calumny.â
A spokesperson to Dr Jonathan also issued a warning to readers to beware of the counterfeit version sold online.
Ikechukwu Eze said: “We have just been informed that a fake document contrived by mischief makers is being passed on as the e-version and hard copy of the just launched â#MyTransitionHoursâ.
âWe advise the general public to ignore such publication as the chapters and contents are not the same as the book publicly presented two days ago in Abuja. #MyTransitionHours.
âAlso, note that the e-copy of #MyTransitionHours âis not being marketed, as such, the fake online version could only have been created by those out to deceive the unsuspecting public.â
