Essang Solomon posted a letter via twitter to the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo on June 12 and it seems to have proven a hit with many others on the social media platform.
The letter which addresses Professor Osinbajo as a “man of God” has already been retweeted hundreds of times.
“@ProfOsinbajo you are first a Christian from the @rccghq so I will address you as such before your political office as I am sure you will prefer that, I want to believe you no longer read from twitter like back in 2015 but I will say my mind here all the same,” Mr Solomon wrote.
The message compiled in a series of eight thread comes as ordinary Nigerians continue to face brutal harassment by corrupt elements in the Nigerian Police Force Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
Using the handle @DirectorSolomon, Mr Solomon an award winning film director, notes that though the campaign to #EndSARS is quickly gaining momentum, Professor Osinbajo has been silent.
“I kept out #EndSARS hashtag from the first 3 threads because I believe that someone has muted that hashtag on your twitter, probably that’s why it seems you have no idea of what’s going on OR you are now so fixated on securing votes for 2019 that you do not hear us at all?
“I am also sure you know that half of those who voted for APC in 2015 did it because we had faith in a Man of God who will go to represent and protect Nigerians both Christians and Muslims alike but I for one have seen my error in judgement of character, your Character.”

He stylish reminds the Vice President, who is also a Senior Advocate of Nigeria that “as a man of God I am sure you are familiar with Matt 5:13.”
The passage reads: “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.”
The twitter handler who might have voted for the All Progressives Congress in the 2015 election that saw an incumbent President removed through the ballot box – the first in Nigeria’s history, believes the party is now heading for a fail in 2019.
“Dear @ProfOsinbajo I can tell you for a fact that so many of us potential voters are not only disappointed but WE WILL NOT VOTE FOR YOU! you cannot turn deaf ears to #EndSARS and expect us to vote for you, unless of course you have faith in rigging the elections
“All you do now is photo op. Blaming past government cosmetic visits, holding fuel pump for pictures and brag about achievements that don’t reflect on the average man, you are so high up there you don’t know how low you have sunk! No honest friend to tell you the truth.
“Even the church @rccghq you represent are quiet and we all know why… Just because we are not your kids is no reason for you to act like #EndSARS is not real but I can assure you, the PVC is real, so is our resolve and history will remember how you kept mute.
“But just in case you want to look into it, I suggest you start reading everything under the #EndSARS hashtag, watch the videos, talk to people like @segalink @citizen_gavel and take a stand within the next 2 weeks, remember what happens to the salt if it loses its taste?”
