A trial date has been set for a man accused of killing a 23-year-old University of Kent student at a shopping centre car park in Chatham.
Joshua Stimpson, 25, of Wouldham High Street in Rochester, Kent was arrested at the scene of the killing on June 29.
A police spokesman said: “The victim and the suspect were known to each other and enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.”
He appeared before Maidstone Crown Court today via video link from HMP Elmley on the Isle of Sheppey, where the trial date was set for 22 January by Judge Adele Williams.
Mr Stimpson was remanded in custody to appear in court on Monday, 18 September to enter a plea.
