TUFACED Idibia: Singer Accused of Receiving Payment From Senator Akpabio To Lead Protest Against PMB

Tuface Idibia, a popular Nigerian singer has been accused of leading a sponsored protest against the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, PMB.

The African Queen crooner, real name Innocent Ujah Idibia, whose wedding took place in Dubai is said to have received “2 SUVs” from the former Governor of Akwa Ibom, Senator Godswill Akpabio.

The award wining musician was also said to have received “47 million Naira from the former Senate President, David Mark,”also a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Tuface who was a part of the notorious 90’s boy band, Plantashun Boiz, is to lead a nationwide protest against President Buhari on February 6, but a leading newspaper has come out to say he is being paid to do so.

According to PM News, though the media house refused to call the governor by his name, they noted that this politician gifted the singer cars on his wedding day.

Social media users quickly identified Senator Akpabio, as the one sponsoring the protest. They allude to the fact that it was Senator Akpabio who as the then-sitting governor of Akwa Ibom State gave the singer cars on his wedding day.

PM NEWS wrote, “Investigations on Monday revealed a former Akwa Ibom State Governor as the chief sponsor of the planned massive nationwide protest being orchestrated by hip hop artiste, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face against the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

Blackface, a former band member of Plantashun Boiz has come out against the protest.

Many Nigerians have also spoken out against the planned protest.

In a tweet, @APCUKingdom posted a list to alert Nigerians on how Tuface, 41, had benefitted from alleged corrupt PDP officials.
