A resident from the Kukoki community of Shiroro Local Government Area in Niger State has raised an alarm over an alleged impending attack on the village.
According to @Yaqnas, a group of “bandits stormed the village less than two month after the previous incursion.
The attackers, who are suspected to be Fulani herdsmen are believed to have carried out other operations in the vast forest, Yaqnas twitted.
In a series of tweets posted today, Yaqnas expressed fear over plans of a fresh attack on the villagers by the herdsmen.
He claimed that the attackers were “disposing people of their belongings, gunfire was exchange between them and police stationed.
“The resultant exchange of gunfire led to sustenance of injuries on the part of some bandits #savekukoki”
He said “the bandits fled and return later in the night, and have promise to exact revenge.”
Many people have fled the area and are seeking refuge at Central primary school, Kagara.
