The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, would be travelling to London today, one of his media aides has said.
Femi Adesina, a Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Buhari, noted that the visit to London was a “routine medical check- up.”
78 year-old President Buhari, DENISAURUS News understands will be in London, amid the lockdown that is still operating in the country.
The lockdown which is down to the Covid-19 pandemic, means that those in England risk a fine of £5,000 if they leave the country.
But, Mr Adesina has stated that the President will return back to Nigeria in the second week of April.
This paper is not aware of any letter to the National Assembly, NASS, transmitting power to President Buhari’s Vice – Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
Prfessor Osinabajo has not been in acting President position since 2017, when President Buhari left him in charge and he sacked a director General of the secret service, who wrote an indicting report against Ibrahim Mustafa Magu.
