A by-election held in Jigawa has been declared in favour of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The election for a representative for the constituency of Kafin-Hausa in the State House of Assembly, was required following the demise of Adamu Babban-Bare in January.
Following the election that took place in Saturday, the ruling APC was able to retain the seat.
DENISAURUS News obtained information that the APC candidate Muhammad Adamu, the son of the deceased lawmaker received 14,924 votes.
He beat his nearest opposition, Muhammad Tambale, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), by 6,312 votes.
The candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement came third with 72 votes.
