President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed a former Permanent representative in the United Nations, as his new Chief of Staff, DENISAURUS News has been informed.
Ibrahim Gambari, 75, who worked for the United Nations in the Department of Political Affairs, whose name was announced today, is to replace the deceased Abba Kyari, who died of the deadly COVID-19.

Adamu Adamu, the current Education Minister, was actually tipped to take on the role, however, this paper is not sure if he declined the post for the second time.

Sources told DENISAURUS News that the 75-year-old, a native of Kwara State is said to be a “gentle man.”
He served as Minister for External Affairs between 1984 and 1985, and is understood to be the Founder/Chairman of the Board of Directors of Savannah Centre for Diplomacy, Democracy and Development, a non-governmental think-tank on research and policy studies.
The retired diplomat was appointed as a chancellor of the University of Ilorin by former Governor of Kwara, Fatai Ahmed in 2013.
