The Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo has come to the rescue of Babatunde Omidina, days after photos and videos of the ill actor began to trend on social media.
Mr Omidina, 51, popularly known as Babasuwe, recently voiced out about his failing health.
In a video that has gone viral, the veteran actor who has diabetics pleaded for help. The 51-year-old who lost his wife in 2009, once said he was unable to talk because of his sickness.
In an interview granted to a radio station in Nigeria, the actor and comedian said his condition has worsened.
Professor Osinbajo, who is seeking a second term in office alongside President Muhammadu Buhari, donated a million naira to help support the actor.
The money which was received in the presence of Nollywood actress, Remi Surutu and some other musical artist was taken to the actors residence.
