The Nigerian Vice President luckily escaped unscratched from a helicopter that crashed landed while he was on his way to campaign in Kogi State this morning.
It is the second time in this administration, Professor Osinbajo, a Pastor and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, who was in the state to campaign for the 2019 Presidential elections, has been involved in a air accident.
DENISAURUS News understands that none of the other passengers on board the Augusta AW139 helicopter were hurt.
A statement on his twitter account confirmed the accident, but the resilient Vice President is to continue his campaign in Kogi as planned.
“We are safe and sound! Thank you to everyone who has expressed concern and thank you to the crew who managed the situation well.
“We believe that God will continue to keep us and Nigeria safe even as we go higher.
“We continue #NextLevelEngagements in Kabba, Kogi State.”
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, where Professor Osinbajo used to manage a branch before his nomination as Vice President, was one of the many people to react to the news of the accident.
“Lord we’re grateful for preserving the life of @ProfOsinbajo and his entire entourage.
Thank you for putting the enemy to shame. Lord we’re grateful.”
