Governor Rochas Okorocha has been suspended from the All Progressives Congress, APC over his “gross anti-party activities.”
The decision was taken to suspend the Governor, who happens to be the only executive leader of a state for the APC in the South- East, following a report from the disciplinary committee set up to investigate allegations of anti-party activities made against him.
The Imo State Governor, who is willing to campaign for President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term bid, has been open about his support for Uche Nwosu, his son-in-law’s Governorship ambition.

Meanwhile the National Youths Democratic Network, NYDN, have also called for Governor Ibikunle Amosun to be suspended from the APC over his refusal to support the party’s candidate in his state.
Governor Amosun’s preferred candidate failed to win at the primaries – but this did not stop the Ogun state outgoing Governor, who is also running for the Senate under the APC, to continue his support of Adekunkle Akinlade, the Governorship candidate of the Allied People’s Movement.
DENISAURUS News revealed that at a stakeholder meeting in Abeokuta, Governor Amosun promised to “use everything I have to support” Mr Akinlade against his party’s candidate, Dapo Abiodun.
The APM gubernatorial candidate went on to endorse the President’s re-election plans, but President Buhari in a recent interview said his support was for his party’s candidate, Prince Abiodun.
