President Muhammadu Buhari, 76, who is bidding for a second term in office, was welcomed in Kogi today by a mammoth crowd.
The former military head of state, who was first elected in 2015, becoming the first democratic leader to defeat an incumbent President through the ballot box, arrived in Lokoja, the state capital this afternoon.
One of President Buhari’s aide informed DENISAURUS News that the President was expected to present a flag to the Gubernatorial candidate in Kwara today, but it is been rescheduled for tommorrow.
President Buhari, who has suffered many health challenges and has spent many days outside the country, is promising to take Nigeria to the next level.
Speaking to a rally at an auditorium with a sitting capacity of 25,000, President Buhari promised to continue work in the Ajaokuta steel company which would lead to employment for thousands of Nigerians.
Nigerians will go the polls to elect a President on February 16. President Buhari and his vice, Yemi Osinbajo promised to fight corruption and effect a welfare package for the unemployed.

While some have benefited from the Buhari Federal Government led empowerment scheme such as the Trader Moni, some say coordinators of the programme which is being monitored by Professor Osinbajo, are using it to scam the public.
