Muslim believers residing in Kaduna who are preparing to mark Eid Al Aduha, a period that comes after fasting, have been advised to celebrate the festival in “moderation.”

The Kaduna State Police Command under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Ahmad Abdurrahman in a statement, advised on how to enjoy the festive season which comes with a holiday on Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd August.
The statement signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Yakubu Sabo on behalf of the recently promoted CP, recommended that Muslims in the state taking part in the Eid festival should “exercise caution and celebrate in moderation.

They are also advised to “be wary of sharing gifts with unknown person(s); be cautious of unknown persons that come around in the name of felicitation.”
Yakubu Sabo, the Police Public Relation Officer For Sheikh Abdurrahman said the public should “pay extra attention to Children/ward as they go about during the period; be vigilant of your surrounding when making withdrawals for the period especially at ATM and be very sure of your safety before embarking on a visit to new places.

They are also advised not to “leave the entire house empty as you go out to celebrate but ensure that at least one adult is left at home to prevent criminal cashing on your absence.”
