A super cop based in Kaduna, who was recently promoted to the rank of Commissioner, has been transferred to head the Police Special Fraud Unit in Abuja.
Ahmed Abdurrahman, who worked at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC was promoted for his hard work, DENISAURUS News exclusively reported last month.
Mr Abdurrahman, a Member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, is known to be a God fearing officer who often shows concern over the less privileged, and abhorred injustice against same individuals.
The officer, a former Deputy Director Operations at EFCC holds a Master’s Degree in Conflict, Peace and Strategic Studies and a Post Graduate Certificate in Corruption Studies.
He was enlisted into the Nigerian Police Force as a Cadet in 1990 and will oversee the SFU in Abuja.
According to its website, the Police Special Fraud Unit “is a section of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), a highest investigation arm of the Nigeria Police.”
A police signal showing Mr Abdurrahman’s new post states its with immediate effect.
COMPOL Joseph Egbunike was transferred to the procurement office. While COMPOL Egbere C. Onyeagboro was moved to the CP Monitoring Unit.
