WATCH: Senator Melaye Disses Senator Akpabio, Supports Governor Udom In 41-Seconds Video

The battle that might exist between Governor Udom Emmanuel and his predecessor, Godswill Akabio was on mute before Dino Melaye released his latest track.

Senator Melaye, in his true form poked fun at Senator Akapbio, the former Governor of Akwa Ibom, in chants reminiscent of his student union days.

In the 41-seconds long video, the rep member for Kogi-West Senatorial District, lit up the room with the rhyme: “Governor dey pass governor, hayaya! Udom pass Akpabio, hayaya.”

The subtle diss track, which had everyone – including Emmanuel Enoidem an ally of Senator Akpabio – in the room in stitches, will hit the former Governor hard.

Last month powerful members of the All Progressives Congress, APC including Senator Melaye, 44, and the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Similarly, Senator Akapabio defected to the ruling APC from the PDP in what many believe was a ploy to escape any investigation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC led by “corrupt” Ibrahim Mustafa Magu.

“It is not the first time Senator Akapabio has tried to evade investigation from the EFCC,” a credible source informed this paper.

In a video leaked exclusively by DENISAURUS News, the senator’s younger brother was heard bragging about his connection with Magu.

Also, Senator Akapabio wanted to handpick the next Deputy Governor and run the state affairs using his successor, Governor Udom. However things did not work as envisage, insiders have said.

Those familiar said, as “Governor Akapbio was unable to achieve his aim, he made an enemy out of Governor Udom.

“His plan is to pick a challenger to Governor Udom on the APC platform.”
