Meghan Markle, 36, has asked her father-in-law, Prince Charles to walk her part way down the aisle when she marries Prince Harry, 33.
The couple, who are getting hitched at St George’s Chapel, would omit the “giving away,” bit of the ceremony on Saturday.
Ms Markle will begin by walking on her own before she is meet by Prince Charles.
The Prince of Wales, the second in line to the throne, who is stepping in for the bride’s father, Thomas Markle Sr, will then escort the US actress from the Quire, which is the second leg off the journey, to meet her husband-to-be.
In a statement seen by DENISAURUS News, Kensington Palace said: “Ms. Meghan Markle has asked His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales to accompany her down the aisle of the Quire of St George’s Chapel on her Wedding Day.
“The Prince of Wales is pleased to be able to welcome Ms. Markle to The Royal Family in this way.”
