Obasanjo’s Coalition Movement Fuses With African Democratic Congress

The Coalition for Nigeria Movement, a group that was flagged by a former President to provide an alternative opposition to the “failed” Buhari Government, has announced African Democratic Congress, ADC as its chosen political party.

In a speech titled: “My treatise for future of democracy and development in Nigeria,” Obasanjo said, “Let me start by welcoming and commending the emergence of a renewed and reinvigorated African Democratic Congress, ADC, as a political party.

“Since the inception of Coalition for Nigeria Movement, CNM, many of the sixty-eight registered political parties had contacted and consulted with the Movement on coming together and working together.

“The leadership of the Movement, after detailed examination, wide consultation and bearing in mind the orientation, policies and direction of the Movement, have agreed to adopt ADC as its platform to work with others for bringing about desirable change in the Nigeria polity and governance.”

Chief Obasanjo, a former head of state believes that President Muhammadu Buhari has failed to deliver on his campaign promises.

DENISAURUS News understands that Chief Obasanjo, a leading voice in African politics, is looking to back a former Governor of Kano as the next President of Nigeria.

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has a lot of support in the 36 states of Nigeria, but his supporters fear he might be cheated from the APC ticket, as loyalist of President Buhari are said to be scheming even before the primaries.

Insiders told DENISAURUS News that Senator Kwankwaso was prepared to leave the APC to form a new party or join an existing platform that will support his Presidential ambition if needs be.
