Kaduna Crisis: Governor Authorised Demolition Of APC HQ Office

The Governor of Kaduna who was suspended by leaders of the All Progressive Congress, is said to have authorised the demotion of the party state secretariat on Sambo road, this morning.

DENISAURUS News learnt that the building was demolished at about 4 am.

A member of the APC in Kaduna State told this newspaper that “Governor Nasir El-Rufai in company of tens of uniform military personnel this morning supervised the demolition of the APC State Secretariat for issuing him a six month suspension on the ground of his unethical activities with regards to party rules and traditions.”

The member sent in a video of the destruction which is now in circulation.



The video shows the aftermath of the building belonging to Suileman Hunkuyi.

Senator Hunkuyi, a leader in the state has confirmed the members claim.

In a twitter post, Senator Hunkuyi said: “In the early hours of today, the @GovKaduna Mallam @elrufai personally drove a bulldozer accompanied by armored tanks to destroy my house at 11B Sambo Road.

“This is a new low and fighting dirty with such low level of pettiness is indeed unprecedented in Kaduna State.”

The government is yet to provide any details or reasons for the demolition.

Crisis in APC Kaduna

Leaders of the APC in Kaduna have been at loggerheads since the beginning of this administration.

The crisis has led to the creation of three factions within the state.

One faction is headed by the Governor and another led by Senator Hunkuyi.

Last week, Governor El-Rufai, a former Minister, was accused of working against the party.


Consequently, he was given a six week suspension from the party, commencing from 17, February, 2018.
