The Senate has approved a loan request presented by the President, Muhammadu Buhari.

Lawmakers authorised the President’s request for a foreign loan of $5.5b to finance the 2017 appropriation Act, after consideration of the Report of the Committee on Local and Foreign Debts, which was laid by Senator Shehu Sani.
