An 18-year-old Iraqi man has been remanded and will appear again in Court next month in connection with the bomb attack at Parsons Green Tube station.
The accused who entered the country illegally in 2015, appeared at the Westminster Magistrates’ Court at 14:00 today, where he confirmed his name as “Ahmed Hassan Mohammad Ali.”

Hassan is accused of attempting to murder passengers travelling on a District Line Train on 15 September. 29 people were injured in the attack where the bomb failed to detonate properly.

The 18-year-old who is said to have purchased the ingredient for the bomb on Amazon was arrested at 7:50 am on Saturday and was charged to court with obtaining explosives of a “nature likely to endanger life or cause serious injury to property, contrary to section 2 Explosive Substances Act 1983.”

He will appear at the Old Bailey on October 13.
