Oba Of Lagos Leads Delegation Visit To National Archives In London

The Oba of Lagos, HRH Oba Riliwanu Babatunde Akiolu is currently in London.

DENISAURUS News gathered that His Royal Highness led a delegation of staff to the National Archives in London to retrieve documents.

The delegation committee who have made several trip to Kew Gardens, London includes the senior staff of the Lagos State Record and Archive Bureau, LASRAB.

They aim to recover documents about Lagos which dates back to the colonial times.

Oba Akiolu arrived in London last week as part of a committee set up by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode. The team would leave London sometime next week.

LASRAB, an agency under the ministry of information and strategy which was established in 2008, serves as a professional adviser to the Ministries Departments Agencies, MDA.

A member of the committee said “they preserve the record generated in Lagos state records. This records are then made available to the public for consumption.”
