An associate of AbdulRasheed Bawa has been busted for sponsoring a protest for the erstwhile chairman of the Economics and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Bawa, who was arrested on allegation of abuse of office, remains in the custody of the secret police, DENISAURUS News was told.

The 43- year-old, the youngest and the first core staff to head the anti-corruption agency, is refusing to write a statement, and has remained at the Department of State Services, DSS.

But a close associate named Kabiru Yabo paid a group to demand for Bawa’s release, stating that his human right was being infringed on.

Staff members of the Commission told DENISAURUS News, this same man “who took other people’s right is now saying his own human right is being infringed.”
