The Senate has confirmed the appointment of Taoreed Lagbaja as the new Chief of Army Staff, COAS.
The appointment was made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, after he gave all of the service chiefs the boot on June 15.
Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla and Air Vice Marshal Hassan Bala Abubakar, were also confirmed as Chief Naval Staff and Chief of Air Staff, after the senators held a closed door session about the appointment at the complex this morning.
