Nigeria’s President has returned to Abuja from a medical visit he made the United Kingdom.
President Muhammadu Buhari who departed Nigeria on 30 March, 2021, arrived back to the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, this afternoon.
There had been some protestors demonstrating at the residence of the President in London during his stay there, but DENISAURUS News is not sure if his arrival was forced by them.
The President had stated through one of his media aide, Garba Shehu, that he would return back in the second week in April.
The Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo was not left in charge, as the President was supposed to work from where he was
The President’s trip was heavily criticised by Nigerians, who remembered that the President had promised to put an end to medical tourism.
It is not the first time President Buhari will travel for medical treatment. In 2017, he was away for more than 100 days while treating an undisclosed illness.
