The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the Ondo State Governorship election has challenged the election results.
Eyitayo Jegede who was defeated by Rotimi Akeredolu, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the election held on October 9, challenged the results, as there were too many violence and intimidation on the day.
The PDP candidate, who had similarly lost a previous election to the APC candidate in 2016, has requested for a motion exparte for substituted service on Governor Akeredolu.
It was granted by the Ondo State Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Akure, Ondo state.
