Abubakar Atiku, the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has paid homage to the Emir of Lafia, Alhaji Isa Mustapha Agwai, who died at the age of 83.
Alhaji Atiku, who is currently campaigning in Nasarawa, said the late Emir would be “remembered amongst others as an educationist and humanitarian.”
The deceased traditional ruler who passed away after a protracted illness, had just recently marked 44-years on the throne.
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki who is also in the state with Alhaji Atiku, has also reacted to the passing of the royal father.
He said his “prayers are with the Lafia Emirate and the people of Nasarawa State over the sad loss of the Emir of Lafia and Chairman, Nasarawa State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Isa Mustapha Agwai.
“May Almighty Allah count the soul of the late Emir among the righteous ones in Aljannah Firdaus.”
