The Governor of Kano State Abdullahi Ganduje has made a donation of 10 million Naira to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The Governor currently emmenshed in a 5 million dollar bribery allegation, made the announcement of the donation to a group in Abuja.

But, the Commission led by Ibrahim Mustafa Magu, a “perrrenial offender” has denied the donation was made to it.

In a statement issued on its Facebook page, the EFCC stated that “it is the tradition that the EFCC does not receive donations from state governors/government or any individual at that.”

It added that the news of the donation by the Kano State Governor “is falsehood, and also deliberate attempt to malign the efforts of the Commission in the fight against corruption.”
