ABUJA — A former President of the Senate has announced that he is joining the fight for the ticket to be the Presidential flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
David Alechenu Bonaventure Mark, 70, who was President of the Senate of Nigeria from 2007 to 2015, will pick the presidential interest and nomination forms on Tuesday (September 4).
The 70-year-old, a retired Nigerian Army Brigadier General who represents Benue South Senatorial District, joins the current Senate President Bukola Saraki; the Governor of Sokoto; Aminu Tambuwal and a former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, in the fight to get their party ticket and the battle to replace President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 2019 elections.
