Call State Of Emergency, Lawmaker Tells President Buhari As Killings Continue in Benue

President Muhammadu Buhari has been asked to impose a state of emergency in Benue – where herdsmen have killed over a 100 hundred people in just this month.

On Tuesday, the killer herdsmens attacked Ayar Mbalom community in the Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State- leaving 19 people including two Rev. Fathers dead.

Further to the recent killing, a senator from the state George Akume, raised a motion in the senate today.

During a debate on the motion, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, said: “We need to declare States of Emergencies for the military to go in and put an end to these killings of human beings.”
