President Buhari Postpones FEC Meeting So As To Receive Report on Suspended SGF And NIA DG

A spokesperson to the President of Nigeria confirmed that the weekly meeting of the  “Federal Executive Council, FEC did not hold today. 

Instead, President Muhammadu Buhari received “the Report of the investigation committee into the allegations against the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ayo Oke.”

Femi Adesina said the report was received at 12 noon in President Buhari’s office.

The Committee headed by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, was to investigate the discovery of $43M found in an Ikoyi apartment.

Ibrahim Mustafa Magu, acting chairman of the Economic and Finacial Crimes Commission claimed to have recovered the sum of $43 million from the house, however it turned out that the money belonged to the National Intelligence Agency, NIA.
