Staff had petition the President about corruption in the commission during the tenure of Ibrahim Lamorde. Staffers of the commission identified  CSP Yahaya, who is reported to be from either Sokoto or Kebbi, has one of the officer used to do the dirty jobs of former chairman, Mr Lamorde.

Sambo Mayana, a core staff who is close to CSP Yahaya has confided in close friends at the commission that “Yahaya will become the new EFCC chair.”

Mayana who led the arrest of Abusidiqu in a commando style, on the instruction of Mr Magu was also seen jubilating because his “master” would soon emerge the boss of the anti-graft agency.

Mr Magu has denied authorising the arrest, claiming that it was the work of “overzealous operatives (Mr Mayana and his team.)”

Apparently, a swap was made into the residence of Abusidiqu, in Kubwa, Abuja on spurious allegations of “cyber stalking.”

This was after the Kogi-born blogger published a story written by Miss Lucas about the level of internal corruption at the Commission.
