Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has directed Abdulkarim Chukkol, the current acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to disband a criminal unit in the agency.
Yesterday, in an exclusive story posted by DENISAURUS News, details on how Abdulrasheed Bawa, the embattled chairman of the agency, was using the Chairman Monitoring Unit, CMU, to commit various atrocities was given.
This paper has now been reliably informed that the President has directed Chukkol to disband the unit.
According to the source, “in compliance to such order, the acting Chairman Abdul Karim Chukkol has dissolved it and also directed all members in the team to be investigated right from inception of the said Unit.”
