The minister of Information and culture, Lai Mohammed and a spokesperson for his party, The All Progressives Congress, have had a spate online.
The cause of the explosion between the two men, DENISAURUS News investigations shows, is to do with the affairs of the party in Kwara State.
Alhaji Mohammed, 69, a former spokesperson for the ruling party, which is currently holding a registration and revalidation for members, argues that AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Governor of Kwara – his state of Origin, has hijacked the activity.
He wants the registration to be totally cancelled. However, Yekini Nabena, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party disagrees.
This led to a war of words between the two, with the former spokesperson calling the current deputy spokesperson of the party an “impostor.”
Mr Nabena replied saying that “Lai Mohammed should go back to his state chapter (Kwara) if he is still relevant there and work with the governor and other stakeholders for his voice to be heard at national level.”
